Chimney is a scenic settlement 8 km away from Kurseong and just about a few kilometers distances away from the main town of Darjeeling. Surrounded by luxuriant alpine forest and the astounding Himalayan Mountains in the backdrop, Chimney in Kurseong holds plethora of historical significances.

Chimeni or Chimney was once a den of British during the First World War. They built a huge 24 ft. chimney. The gigantic chimney is now more than 100 years old and one of the major attractions of this village. The name of the village is also acquired from this gigantic chimney.
