Mahaldiram or Maldiram

At an elevation of 58 feet above sea level, Maldiram is a breathtaking village near Kurseon. Also pronounced as Mahal Diram, this splendid hilly settlement offers a breathtaking view of Mount Kanchenjunga and the surrounding hills covered with lush greenery. As located inside Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, you will get to see a plethora of flora and fauna in and around this place. By Air: Bagdogra is its nearest airport at a distance of 50 km. You can rent a car from outside the airport. It will take around 3 hours to cover the approximate road distance of 50 km. You can travel the Hill Cart Road for about 25 minutes towards Darjeeling, then turn right at Dilaram. Bagora is another 15 minutes or so upwards on a winding road. The overall distance from Kurseong is around 17 kilometers.

By Train: NJP is the nearest railway station to this place. Just after reaching this railway station, you will be able to rent a cab from outside the station.
