By Road: From Siliguri, the distance of the village is around 135 km if you travel through Pankhabari, Sonada, and Ghoom. The village is 50 km from Darjeeling, approximately 32 km from Manebhanjan, and around 12 km from Dhotrey.
By Train: The village is around 65 km driving distance away from New Jalpaiguri Railway station (NJP). Hired cars are available once you reach the railway station to Palmajua.
By Air: Bagdogra Airport is the nearest airport to Palmajua. Once you land at the Bagdogra Airport, hired car is the only option to reach Palmajua.
Best Time to Visit Palmajua
The ideal time to see this view is from October to March. A paved pathway extends from one side of the lake to a stairway, which leads to a pleasant shaded viewing area at the top. The nicest views of the mountains, the wonderfully landscaped gardens, and the rows of pine trees can be found here. If you want to see Himalayan Salamanders, go between June and August which are the months of the monsoon.
