Hire a car or taxi from NJP, Bagdogra or Siliguri to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. Upon reaching Gangtok, have a car again to finally reach the hamlet. You can even take a bus to Kalimpong then again take a car to Thangulam. NJP is the nearest railway station of the village whereas Bagdogra is the nearest airport.

During winter, the temperature stays about 0 to 6-degree Celcius. During summer, the temperature ranges from 10 degrees to 16 degrees.
