Anden, the vibrant offbeat destination of East Sikkim, will never let you feel bored. Trekking and birding are the most prominent activities to do here. In order to take part in trekking, you can have a drive to Hilley and then start a 4km long trekking to Varsey Rhododendron Sanctuary. Upon completing your long trekking trail, you will be rewarded with a scenic vista of Kanchenjunga and blooming rhododendron. Best Time to Visit the Anden Village

Due to its charming weather, the village can be visited throughout the year. However, to catch a magnificent vista of Kanchenjunga, October to January is the ideal time. Bird watching can be enjoyed at any time whereas blooming rhododendron can be seen from mid-March to Mid-April.
