6 Days Bhutan Tour Itinerary

Pick Up and Transfer to Thimphu

After arriving at Hasimara/NJP, our driver and representative will be waiting there for you. After completing the greeting process, we will drive you to Thimphu. In the middle of your journey, stop at Phuentsholing to perform the formalities to get the Inner Line Permit. Resume your journey again and after arriving Thimphu, check into your hotel and fresh yourself up. You are now completely free for the day. You can spend the time at leisure and in the morning stroll into the local market to enjoy the scenic beauty of it and the nearby places. In the night, have your dinner and overnight stay in the hotel of Thimphu.

Thimphu Sightseeing

Day 2 is the day to explore some of the sightseeing places of Thimphu. Have your breakfast early in the morning and get ready to see the unseen. We will first see the Memorial Chorten, located in the heart of Thimphu. Built-in the memory of Bhutan's third King Jigme Dorji, it is considered to be one of the most sacred places in Bhutan.

Buddha Point is going to be our next sightseeing destination. The View Point is quite famous for offering a scenic view of the entire Thimphu Valley. The 51.5 meters tall statue of Buddha is also the major attraction of tourists.

After exploring Buddha Point, we will be going to explore a Takin Preserve named Mohitang. It is the natural habitation of Bhutan's National animal Takin. In the morning, they come closer to the fence giving the travelers a chance to see them closely. The place is also quite famous for short trekking and enjoying the beauty of nature. BBS Tower can also be explored from where you will get a panoramic vista of the entire Thimphu city.

Bhutan's National Textile Museum is the next destination we are going to explore. This textile Museum has huge collections of Bhutanese textile artifacts and here you can also see the crowns of Bhutan's kings, dresses and some of the other accessories worn by Bhutan's Royal family. Moreover, you can also learn how to wear Gho and Kira here.

After seeing all these attractive places, we will drive you back to your hotel room. Fresh yourself up and spend the night here in Thimphu.

Transfer to Punakha

Day 3 is the day to start a journey towards Punakha. After waking up early, have your breakfast and get ready for a thrilling journey towards Punakha. Just 3o km from Thimphu, stop at Dochula Pass. Situated at an elevation of 3088 meters, the motorable pass is quite scenic and full of attractive places such as the Chorten and the Mani Wall. After arriving at Punakha, check into your hotel and fresh yourself up. Now, you have an entire day to relax. Spend some time at leisure and in the evening, stroll into some of the nearby places to experience the evening lifestyle of Bhutanese people. Have a dinner and overnight stay at Punakha.

Punakha Sightseeing and Transfer to Paro

Day 4 is the day to explore some of the sightseeing places in Punakha and transfer to Paro. So, first, we will be visiting Punakha Dzong, a monastery which is located on the bank of Mo Chu and the Po Chu river. The monastery is quite old and served both the administrative and religious centers in Bhutan. The next destination of Punakha sightseeing is Chimmi Lakhang, a beautiful temple surrounded by many rice fields. You will find it awkward to see many phallic symbols painted here and there. But the symbol has religious significance. Moreover, the temple is also quite famous for fulfilling people's wishes by blessing them with babies.

After seeing some of these sightseeing places, return back to your hotel to start a thrilling journey again towards Paro, an ancient city of Bhutan full of religious values and cultures. After reaching Paro, check into your hotel and have some rest after an intense journey. While at leisure, you can consume some of your favorite shows on Television. In the evening, explore some nearby places and get to know the evening lifestyle of the Bhutanese people. Finally, overnight stay at Paro after having a delicious dinner.

Paro Sightseeing

Day 5 is the day completely dedicated to exploring many sightseeing places of Paro. First, after having breakfast, we will be seeing Bhutan's one of the ancient and unique monasteries named Taktsang Monastery. The monastery is astonishingly situated on the cliff-side of a mountain and you are going to have a thrilling Trekking experience of 2 hours.

Our next destination is none other than the National Museum of Bhutan. This Bhutanese Museum is quite famous for preserving the ancient artifacts of Bhutan dated back to the 2nd century. Listed under the tentative sites of UNESCO, we will be going to visit Paro Dzong. This particular monastery is fascinating and only stays open during the auspicious Tsechu Festival. However, the courtyard stays always open to explore all the time for the mass.

After absorbing these attractive sightseeing places of Paro, return back to your hotel and be fresh. Finally, overnight stay at Paro.

Drop at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Hasimara

Have an early morning breakfast and get ready to start a journey to return back to your home. Checkout from the hotel and our driver will drive you towards NJP / Hasimara. After reaching your desired location, our Bhutan Tour Package for 5 Nights 6 Days will come to an end.
