
After an early morning breakfast, check out from the resort and proceed for the Jaldapara Jungle Safari. The Jungle Safari in Jaldapara is one of the most prominent attractions of the Dooars region. Being the home of one-horned Rhinoceros and Bengal Florican, the rich biodiversity of Jaldapara National Park will leave you awe-stricken. Every year from 15th June to 15th September Jaldapara remains closed and during this time you cannot go for Elephant Safari or Jeep Safari in Jaldapara.
After exploring the less trodden part of Jaldapara bid adieu to Dooars and proceed towards New Jalpaiguri Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport. It is an overall ride of 3hrs with an approximate distance of 122km. If time permits you can have some refreshment on the way to New Jalpaiguri/ Bagdogra. Special Tips about Jaldapara: There are about 20 species of mammals, 240 species of birds, and 8 species of freshwater turtles available in this forest. Among mammals' rhinoceros, elephants, leopards, sambar, barking deer, spotted deer, hog deer, wild bores and Indian gaurs can be seen. Bengal florican one of the rarest species of bird is found in this forest. Other birds like crested eagle, fin's weaver, jungle fowl, peafowl, partridge, and lesser pied hornbills are inhabitants of Jaldapara National Park. Python, monitor lizard, krait, cobra, and gecko are important habitats among reptiles. Some rare species like the hispid hare and the hog-badger are also found in Jaldapara National Park.
