Day 1: TRANSFER TO MONGPONG VIA SEVOKE

On arrival at NJP/Bagdogra, you will be greeted by our official and then transferred towards your resort in Mongpong. With an approx distance of 33 km it is an overall drive of 1hr to reach Mongpong from NJP/Bagdogra via Sevoke Road. Mongpong is a quaint forest village located at the vicinity of Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary. On your way to Mongpong pay your homage to Goddess Kali in the sacred Sevoke Temple. The view of changing landscape of lush tea garden and alpine forest is sure to woo you. Check into your resort and freshen up. After lunch you are free for the rest day to enjoy the serene ambiance of Mongpong and breathtaking view of Teesta River. Overnight stay at Mongpong.

Day 2: TRANSFER TO JHANDI

Perched at an elevation of 6800 ft, Jhandi is the perfect destination during summer season to escape the scorching summer heat of plain region. Day 3: TRANSFER TO SUNTALEKHOLA VIA CHALSA, SAMSING, ROCKY ISLAND

After breakfast, check out from Jhandi and proceed to your resort in Suntalekhola. With an approximate distance of 57 km, it is an overall drive of 2 hours to reach Suntalekhola from Jhandi. Enclosed by a lush tea garden Suntalekhola is one of the favoured offbeat destinations of Dooars. On the way to your pre-booked accommodation at Suntalekhola, you will be stopping to explore Chalsa, Samsing and Rocky Island. Situated amidst the meandering stream of River Murti, Rocky Island is an island made with the formation of huge rocks. Day 4: SIGHTSEEING AT JHALONG, JALDHAKA, BINDU & DROP TO NJP/ BAGDOGRA

After an early breakfast, checkout from the resort, then you start your sightseeing in offbeat destination of Dooars. Jaldhaka located at a one hour driving distance from Samsing is the first destination on your list. Situated along the foothills of Bhutan hills, Jaldhaka is pictorial river valley which is famous for its trekking route towards Rechela. The next destination in your list is the famous for its Hydroelectricity Project on River Jaldhaka, Jhalong. Jhalong is a less trodden destination of Dooars located along the Indo Bhutan Border. The dam of Jhalong also acts as a foot bridge for the people from the Bhutanese border town. During winter season Jhalong attracts many migratory birds and water fowls from Central Asia and Ladakh. Next we will take you to the last hamlet of the West Bengal province, Bindu. Located at a distance of 10km from Jhalong, from Bindu you can witness the enthralling view of Dooars plains, daunting hills of Bhutan and lush tea garden. Bindu will never cease to amaze you with its surreal beauty and tranquil ambiance. Lastly you will proceed to NJP/Bagdogra. It is an overall 3 hrs drive with an approx distance of 100 km to reach NJP/Bagdogra from Bindu. Dooars Tour Packages Special Tip - about Jaldhaka: Jaldhaka River forms after three streams known as Dudh Pokhri, Bindu Khola and Jaldhaka meets at Bindu. Stream Jaldhaka originates from the Kupup Lake, Sikkim. The dam in Bindu helps in controlling water supply for Jaldhaka Hydro electrical project. This dam can be crossed only by foot. However, recently a steel bridge was constructed nearby for light weight vehicles.
