On arrival at NJP/Bagdogra you will be greeted by our officials and then transferred to your resort in Jaldapara. It is nearly 3½-4hrs drive from NJP/Bagdogra to Jaldapara with an approx distance of 135km. Jaldapara is a one of the national parks of Dooars famous for housing the largest population of Indian Rhinoceros in India after Kajiranga National Park of Assam. In Jaldapara you will be staying in a private resort. Check into your resort and freshen up. After lunch we will drive you to South Khayerbari. Located at a 30min driving distance from Jaldapara, South Khayerbari is an animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre. Here you will take a tour in battery operated car and observe the rescued leopards and Royal Bengal Tiger. Situated on the banks of River Torsha you can also do boating in South Khayerbari. After relishing the serene ambiance of South Khayerbari return to your resort. You are free for the rest of the evening to enjoy the beautiful landscape of Jaldapara. This forest was declared Wildlife Sanctuary in the year 1941. On May 2012 Jaldapara WS became National Park. Other than river Torsha Jaldapara NP is enriched with smaller rivers like Malangi, Holong, Chirakhawa, Bhaluka and Buri Torsha. The total area of this forest is 216.51 square km.
Wake up early in the morning and start from the resort to experience a thrilling Jeep ride inside Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary. Jungle Safari in Jaldapara is one of the famous tourist attractions of Dooars. Home of the famous Asiatic Rhino and Bengal Florican, if you are lucky during your Jaldapara Jungle Safari you will spot the herd of wild elephants and other animals and birds like sambar, hornbills, cuckoos (Every year Jaldapara remains close from 15th June to 15th September. During this time period visitors cannot go for elephant/jeep safari in Jaldapara). Return to the resort for breakfast and after breakfast drive towards Phuentsholing, the southern border town of Bhutan. Phuentsholing is 30km away. After one hour drive you will reach Phuentsholing. The famous tourist interest spots of Phuentsholing are the crocodile breeding centre Amo Chhu and wish fulfilling monastery Karbandi. In the afternoon after lunch we will drive you to Chilapata Forest. It is a 2hrs journey from Phuentsholing to Chilapata.
