Silkroute Tour Itinerary for 4 Days

Day 1: Transfer to Sillery Gaon and Trek to Ramitey Viewpoint & Damsang Fort

After arrival at New Jalpaiguri Station (NJP)/ Bagdogra Airport start your 4-hour journey towards Sillery Gaon. Sillery Gaon is a small hamlet that resides on the Himalayan mountain range very close to Pedong and Kalimpong town. The journey towards this scenic village is filled with the sight of a green lofty mountainous valley and tall pine tree forest. Reach Sillery Gaon after covering approx 95km and check into the homestay. After freshening up, Trek to Ramitey Viewpoint and Damsang Fort. Ramitey viewpoint offers a panoramic view of the 14 bends of the river Teesta. Damsang Fort, observe the ruins of the last home of the Lepcha King. Finally, after dinner, overnight stay at Sillery Gaon.

Day 2: Transfer to Reshikhola via Pedong

Wake up in the morning and witness the sunrise over silver shimmering Kanchenjunga while listening to the chirping of Himalayan birds. After breakfast, say your farewell to Sillery Gaon and start your one-and-a-half-hour journey towards Rishikhola. Reshikhola (or Rishi Khola alias Rishikhola) is a small valley situated on the bank of the river Reshi at an altitude of 2,000ft, famous among travellers for camping and picnicking. On the way, visit Pedong, a scenic offbeat village. Reach Rishikhola after covering approx 35km and check into the resort. After freshening up you are free for the rest of the day to take a relaxing stroll on the river bank is an idyllic spot for romancing the moonlight with a light barbecue and bonfire. Overnight stay at Rishikhola.

Day 3: Transfer to Aritar & Sightseeing

After having breakfast checkout from the home stay to start your journey towards Aritar. Aritar is a picturesque hamlet located on the east Sikkim known for its rich history and beautiful landscape.

Reach Aritar after covering approx 70km and check into the home stay. After freshening up start your sightseeing of Aritar while enjoying the natural trekking route. Lampokhari Lake, a boot shaped emerald green lake one of the oldest natural lakes in Sikkim and recently artificially constructed to facilitate boating for the tourists. Aritar Gumpha, Buddhist monastery known for its beautiful architecture and collection of artifacts, murals and other paintings. Mankhim Temple, Rai temple residing on the hilltop of Mankhim offers a panoramic view of Mt Kanchenjunga.

Day 4: Drop to NJP

Wake up early in the morning and prepare yourself to see the most mesmerizing sunrise over the mighty Mt Kanchenjunga from Mankhim, itÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s a 20 minutes trip from Aritar. After returning to Aritar and having breakfast say your farewell to Aritar and start your 4hrs journey towards Siliguri. Throughout your journey towards NJP you will be accompanied by River Teesta and green lush pine tree forest, see the breathtaking view of the lush greenery and cool blue waters from Coronation Bridge is the perfect way to end your trip. After reaching NJP your Silk Route tour package of 5N/6D will come to an end.
