
Day 2 is the day to explore some of the sightseeing places of Thimphu. Have your breakfast early in the morning and get ready to see the unseen. We will first see the Memorial Chorten, located in the heart of Thimphu. Built-in the memory of Bhutan's third King Jigme Dorji, it is considered to be one of the most sacred places in Bhutan.
Buddha Point is going to be our next sightseeing destination. The View Point is quite famous for offering a scenic view of the entire Thimphu Valley. The 51.5 meters tall statue of Buddha is also the major attraction of tourists.
After exploring Buddha Point, we will be going to explore a Takin Preserve named Mohitang. It is the natural habitation of Bhutan's National animal Takin. In the morning, they come closer to the fence giving the travelers a chance to see them closely. The place is also quite famous for short trekking and enjoying the beauty of nature. BBS Tower can also be explored from where you will get a panoramic vista of the entire Thimphu city.
Bhutan's National Textile Museum is the next destination we are going to explore. This textile Museum has huge collections of Bhutanese textile artifacts and here you can also see the crowns of Bhutan's kings, dresses and some of the other accessories worn by Bhutan's Royal family. Moreover, you can also learn how to wear Gho and Kira here.
After seeing all these attractive places, we will drive you back to your hotel room. Fresh yourself up and spend the night here in Thimphu.
