
Day 2 of our Bhutan Tour Itinerary is all about exploring some of the attractive sightseeing places in Thimphu. Thimphu sightseeing includes attractions like Durga Temple/Shiv Temple, Buddha Point, Coronation Park, Takin Zoo (National Animal of Bhutan), Memorial Chorten, Folk Heritage Museum, Handicrafts and Textile Museum of Bhutan, Handmade Paper Factory, Tashichho Dzong and Simply Bhutan (Traditional Culture Program). Start the day by visiting the iconic Memorial Chorten. Believed to be one of the most sacred places, by visiting here you will come to know the intense religious belief of Bhutanese people about this place.
We will be taking you to Mohitang Takin Preserve. Takin, a unique animal, is only available in Bhutan and some of the nearby places lives in this Preserve. They can be seen very closely in the morning when they come closer to the fence to eat food. The beauty of the surrounding places also attracts a lot of tourists to visit this home of Bhutan's national animal.
Our next destination is the National Textile Museum. This museum is famous for preserving many handicrafts, royal dresses, and traditional Bhutanese dresses. Moreover, here you can learn how to wear Bhutan's traditional dresses named Gho and Kira.
Buddha View Point is another sightseeing place in our Bhutan Tour Itinerary for 5 Nights and 6 Days. This viewpoint is quite famous for an astonishing 51.5-meter tall Buddha statue. The place is also quite attractive as it provides a great view of the surrounding valleys.
Next, visit Thimphu Dzong, an ancient monastery especially famous for its jaw-dropping architectural excellence. After visiting and gaining a bunch of sweet memories from some of these attractive sightseeing places, you will be taken to your hotel again.
