Day wise Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Gangtok

Pick up from NJP or Bagdogra Airport (IXB) after being greeted by our officials. The journey will be of 4 hours through the winding roads of Sikkim. Gangtok is a beautiful capital town of the state established as a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the year of 1940s. The journey towards this beautiful town will be full of alpine trees and breathtaking scenery. Have your lunch on the way. You will reach Gangtok after covering an approximate distance of 120km.

Check into your hotel and freshen up to be prepared for the remaining day. You are free for the rest of the day to stroll around MG Marg. Replete with colourful souvenir shops, cafes, and places to eat, a visit to this road will get you closer to the indigenous cultures, colourful traditions, and local delicacies of Sikkim. Day 2: Sightseeing at Tsomogo Lake and Baba Mandir

After early morning breakfast in this Sikkim Tour Package for 6 Days, we will drive to your Tsomgo Lake, a 2-hour journey from Gangtok. It is a glacial lake in Sikkim and is located at an elevation of 12,310 feet. Changu Lake is filled with water of melting snow coming from the surrounding mountains. It's a one-kilometre-long oval-shaped lake. During summer and autumn, the beautiful Primula flowers and other Alpine vegetation around the lake can be sighted. However, the winter season offers a different view of the lake as it becomes completely frozen and a snowfield.

Next, visit Baba Mandir on this 5 night 6 days Sikkim itinerary which is approximately 20 km distance away from Changu Lake. Baba Mandir is a shrine made in honour of an Indian army Major 'Baba' Harbhajan Singh. He is hailed by the soldiers and the locals as the "Hero of Nathula". You can offer your prayer here and after having lunch head back to your hotel in Gangtok. After arriving at Gangtok you are free for the entire evening to either relax or buy some souvenirs for your close ones. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 3: Transfer to Lachen

Have your early morning breakfast at the hotel and get transferred to Lachen. It is an overall 6-hour journey from Gangtok with an approximate distance of 110km to reach Lachen. Lachen is a small Himalayan hamlet perched at an altitude of 2750mt. On the way to Lachen, you will come across some of the most amazing destinations like Singhik View Point famous for offering the most magnificent view of Mt. Khangchendzonga and Mt. Siniolchu, Seven Sisters Waterfalls where you can beckon the surreal beauty of cascading water, and Chungthang a pictorial place which is known to be blessed by Guru Padmasambhava, the patron saint of Sikkim. Here you will find a rock that day bears the hand and footprints of Padmasambhava.

Have lunch on the way to Lachen as the journey will be a long one. Reach your hotel at Gangtok after covering approximately 115 km of road distance. Freshen up to plan the remaining day's activities. You can spend the entire evening at leisure and enjoy the scenic landscape of Lachen. Overnight stay at Lachen.

Day 4: Visit Gurudongmar Lake and Transfer to Lachung

After an early morning breakfast begin your sightseeing excursion to Gurudongmar Lake. It takes around 3 hours to reach the lake after covering approximately 66 km of road distance. It is a glacial lake and one of the highest altitude lakes in the world. Sited on the foothill of a snow-capped mountain, Gurudongmar Lake has left many travelers enthralled with its ethereal beauty. After soaking yourself in the beauty of this majestic lake return to your hotel. After lunch, visit Lachen Monastery and check out from your hotel to start your journey to your hotel in Lachung via Chungthang. It is an overall 2½hrs drive from Lachen with an approximate distance of 46km to reach Lachung.

Lachung is another quaint hamlet in North Sikkim. On the way to Lachung, you can visit the Bhim Nala Waterfalls. The two and a half hours drive to Lachung is truly a thrilling one through the hilly roads. Check into your hotel and freshen up. You are free for the rest of the evening to relax and enjoy the majestic view of snow-peaked mountains, vibrant rhododendron valley, and lush green yak pastures surrounding Lachung. You will be staying overnight at Lachung in this 5 night 6 days Sikkim package.

Day 5: Visit Yumthang Valley and Transfer to Gangtok

You will be driven towards Yumthang Valley. Also known as the Valley of Flowers, this sightseeing excursion will certainly be a memorable one. Yumthang valley is situated at an altitude of nearly 11800 feet with the river Lachung Chu flowing through the valley. On your way to Yumthang Valley, you will be driving across the Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary which has more than 120 species of Rhododendron trees and is also the home to the endemic Rhododendron Niveum. In the winter, Yumthang is covered with a blanket of White Snow and offers a captivating view of snow-clad mountains. Apart from the winter season, in Yumthang Valley you can witness the amazing sight of diverse Himalayan Flora which is sure to leave you craving for more.

While returning from Yumthang you may visit the famous hot spring known for its curative properties. Reach the hotel and right after it, visit Lachung Monastery. After lunch check out from your hotel and start your 6hrs journey towards your hotel in Gangtok. The scenic view of changing vegetation on the way to Gangtok is going to woo your mind. Day 6: Gangtok Half Day Sightseeing and Drop to NJP / Bagdogra Airport

Have breakfast and then proceed for the half-day sightseeing in and around Gangtok. Visit Gangtok Flower Exhibition Centre which has enthralled the mind of many travellers with its stunning view of beautiful flowers. Next, visit the Handicraft and Handloom Centre, Dro-Dul Chorten and Enchey Monastery Respectively. After seeing these pictorial places, say goodbye to Gangtok and start your 4hrs journey towards NJP/Bagdogra. If time permits have some refreshments on the way to NJP/Bagdogra.
