Situated in the southern part of the Indian state of Sikkim and quite adjacent to Rinchenpong, Chemchey, Namchi, etc Biksthang is a pristine hamlet popularly known as Chechen and Mangalbaray.

The village offers an alluring view of Mount Kanchenjunga which is certainly the prime attraction of the village. Pelling, the adjacent lively hamlet can easily be explored and is a hub of monasteries like Dubdi Monastery, Sanga Choeling Monastery, Tashiding Monastery and Pemayangste Monastery, etc. Moreover, Temi Tea Garden, Shingshore Bridge, Kanchenjunga Falls all are quite nearby and act as sightseeing places around Biksthang.

Rinchenpong is another major nearby attraction near the Biksthang village. The Poison Pokhri or Poison Lake, Rinchenpong Monastery, Lhentse monastery, Rahu Ney (Caves) and Phursachu (Hot Spring) are some of the worth-visiting attractions.
