Rolep in Sikkim

What to See in and around Rolep

Being situated at the bottom of Memeantshu Lake and Tshangu Lake and on the riverbank of Rangpoo, there is a lot to see in and around the village. Your soul will certainly get rejuvenated by witnessing the white floating clouds in the blue sky, lush green alpine forests and astounding mountain peaks.

The forty feet high Buddha Waterfalls on Shokey Khola River looks quite astonishing. Chochen Natural Lake just a few kilometres away is also a worth visiting lake. Pilgrimage sites like Buddha Cave, Dekiling Monastery are another set of tourists attracts for those who seek the blessing of the almighty. The motorable hanging brigde named Rangkey also falls under the tourist attractions of Rolep.

Rolep is quite adjacent to Rongli, another scenic offbeat hamlet of Sikkim. Other nearby destinations like Doban, Phadamchen, Zuluk, Gnathang, Pedong, Sillery Gaon, etc can also be explored. The boot-shaped Aritar Lake or the Lampokhari Lake is the major attraction near the village.
