Meet and greet at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport. Proceed to the pre-booked Homestay at Chatakpur. Chatakpur is an untouched hamlet settled in the middle of Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary. The road towards Chatakpur is quite scenic and about 75 kilometres driving distance away. After covering these three hours of driving distance, reach Chatakpur and check-in to the homestay. During the evening you are all yours to stroll around the village. You can even trek to Tiger Hill which is just 10 minutes from the village. After witnessing the beauty of a mesmerizing sunset, have dinner and overnight stay at Chatakpur.
On Day 2 of your Chatakpur Tour Package, go for a full day sightseeing at Chatakpur. After Breakfast, walk around the village to explore 30 huts and its total occupants less than a hundred. Being one of the secluded tourist destinations of the region, the village benefits organic farming of vegetables through terraced farming. Local people sustain their livelihood through this but nowadays tourism is also one of their sources of livelihood. Visit the lush greenery of Chatakpur, wooden bungalows, trail and trekking routes. Day 3 is the day to get transferred to Darjeeling, the "Queen of Hills". After an early breakfast, you will be driven towards Darjeeling which is approximately 55 kilometers and nearly at a 1 hours driving distance away. Situated at an elevation of 2123 meters, Darjeeling offers sloping tea gardens, many jaw-dropping tourist attractions and the spectacular views of the Mount Everest. Check into hotel to freshen up. Spend the evening by exploring the local market at the famous Darjeeling Mall. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Wake up before dawn at around 3:30 am to proceed to the Tiger Hill to observe the sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak. The spectacular view of the sunrise looming over the Kanchenjunga Peak is worth watching and can be cherished forever. Stop at the Ghoom Monastery, War memorial and Batasia Loop on the way back to the hotel. Now, have breakfast to start an excursion to Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, HMI, Darjeeling Ropeway, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, Tea Estate, Natural History Museum, Peace Pagoda, etc. Back to the hotel to take rest and lunch. In the evening, stroll around the local vicinities and shop at Darjeeling Mall. Night stay at Darjeeling.
