TRANSFER TO LATAGURI & JUNGLE SAFARI IN GORUMARAOn arrival at NJP/Bagdogra you will be greeted by our official and then transferred to Lataguri. It is nearly a 2 hrs journey with an approx distance of 68 km. Lataguri is quaint settlement located near the Gorumara National Park. Have lunch on the way in a local restaurant or you can take your lunch after reaching the resort. After checking in, freshen up and gear up for the afternoon Jungle Safari in Gorumara National Park. Famous for its exotic flora and fauna, if lucky you might spot the famous One-horned Rhinoceros along with other animals like Barking Deer, Wild Boar, Sambar, and Bison (Every year Gorumara National Park remains close from 15th June to 15th September during this time you cannot go for Jeep Safari in Gorumara). There are 7 watch points in and around Gorumara including Chapramari watch tower. These watch towers are Yatraprasad Watch tower, Rhino observation point, Medla watch tower, Chandrachur watch tower, Chukchuki watch tower, Kalakhawa watch tower and Chapramari watch tower. Yatraprasad watch tower is named after a forest department's elephant.

Dooars Tour Packages Special Tips - about Jhalong, Bindu Jaldhaka: Three streams known as Dudh Pokhri, Bindu Khola and Jaldhaka meets at Bindu to form Jaldhaka River. Jaldhaka River originates from a lake in Kupup, Sikkim. The dam in Bindu helps in controlling water supply for Jaldhaka Hydro electrical project. This dam can be crossed only by foot. However, recently a steel bridge was constructed nearby for light weight vehicles.
