Transfer to Lataguri and Jungle Safari in Gorumara National ParkOn arrival at NJP/Bagdogra, you will be greeted by our officials and then transferred to your resort in Lataguri. Located near Gorumara National Park, Lataguri is the quaint settlement of Jalpaiguri District. In Lataguri you will be staying in a resort. It is an approx 2 hrs journey from NJP/Bagdogra to Lataguri with an approx distance of 68 km. Have lunch on the way at a local Dhaba or after reaching the resort.

After checking in, freshen up and prepare yourself for the afternoon Jungle Safari in Gorumara (There are two shifts for Jungle Safari between 2-5 pm). Gorumara National Park is a mid-sized park famous for its population of One-Horned Rhinoceros. If you are lucky, you might see a herd of wild Elephants and famous Asiatic Rhino and also other animals like Barking Deer, Sambar and Bison. (Every year Gorumara National Park remains closed from 15th June to 15th September during this time you cannot go for Elephant/ Jeep Safari in Gorumara) After the adventurous experience, return to the resort. Overnight stay in Lataguri.

Special Tips for 3 Days Lataguri Tour - about Gorumara: National park of Gorumara is a mix of tropical forest, bamboo groves, terrain grassland vegetation and tropical riverine reeds. Sal, common teak, simul and sirish are the major big trees of this forest. In this national park 50 species of mammals, 194 species of birds, 22 species of reptiles, 7 species of turtles and 27 species of fishes are available other than macro and microfauna. Among mammals in Gorumara One-horned Rhinoceros, Asian Elephant, Indian Gaur, Sloth Bear, Chital, Sambar are the big animals.

Visit Samsing, Suntalekhola, Rocky Island and Transfer to JaldaparaAfter breakfast, checkout from the resort and start your 2nd-day excursion in Dooars. The first destination in your list is Samsing. It is a 1½ hrs drive from Lataguri to Samsing with an approx 42 km distance. Samsing is a beautiful village of Dooars which has enthralled the mind of travellers with its amazing view of tea gardens. Beckon the beauty of lush green tea gardens and mixed forest region in Samsing. Next, drive towards Suntalekhola, another scenically blessed hamlet of Dooars. Dotted with outstanding trekking routes, visitors can partake in short trek towards Mouchuki. And then we will take you to Rocky Island the hub of adventurers travelling in Dooars region.

Enclosed by River Murti and dense forest, in Rocky Island you can partake in angling and rock climbing or simply adorn the beauty of vibrant butterflies and birds. Lastly, you will be ushered toward your resort in Jaldapara. It is an approx 3 hrs drive from Rocky Island to Jaldapara. Take a break for lunch. After enjoying the mouth-watering dishes at the local restaurant proceed to Jaldapara. After checking in the resort, you are free for the rest of the evening to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Overnight stay in Jaldapara.

Special Tips for 3 Days Lataguri Tour - About Rocky Island: In Rocky Island, Asley Jhora becomes Murti River after hitting the plains. The source of this river is in Rechela Danda far up from Rocky Island.

Jungle Safari and Visit South Khayerbari & Drop to Depurture PointOn Days 3 of your Lataguri Tour, Start your day with the famous Jungle Safari in Jaldapara National Park. Housing the 2nd largest population of One-Horned Rhinoceros, Jaldapara is also one of the few places where the rare Bengal Florican can be spotted. (Every year from 15th June to 15th September Jaldapara remains close so visitors cannot go for elephant/jeep safari in Jaldapara during these times.) Return to the resort after exploring the dense forest of Jaldapara and after breakfast check out from the resort. Now we will drive you towards South Khayerbari. Located at a distance of 15 km from Jaldapara, South Khayerbari is a rescue and rehabilitation centre for the feline. Here you can observe rescued leopards and Royal Bengal Tigers in their semi-natural habitat. Lastly proceed to NJP/Bagdogra from South Khayerbari. On arrival at NJP/Bagdogra, you 2 Nights and 3 Days Dooars Tour Package will come to an end.

Special Tips for 3 days Lataguri Tour - About Jaldapara: 30% of the Jaldapara National Park is covered with Savannah and tall elephant grass. Among trees sal, Khair, sishu, simul, sirish are the main contributors of this forest. This national park is mainly known for one-horned rhinoceros. There are about 20 species of mammals, 240 species of birds, 8 species of freshwater turtles available in Jaldapara National Park. Among mammals' rhinoceros, elephant, leopard, sambar, barking deer, spotted deer, hog deer, wild bores and Indian gaurs can be found. Bengal florican one of the rarest species of bird is found in this forest.
