Arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)/ Bagdogra Airport and start your 3hrs journey towards Kalimpong. Kalimpong is a historical destination on the old silk route situated on the foothills of the Himalayas at an elevation of 1243 meters / 4078 feet. Your journey towards this buzzing town will be full of serene sights of lofty green mountains and Roaring River Teesta. After covering 23km, offer short prayer in Sevoke Kalibari (temple of goddess Kali) on Sevoke road, to take the blessings for a safe onward journey through the winding roads of the mountains. It's a nice way to start the uphill journey. Sevoke Kali Temple is near to banks of waterway Teesta and has rich greenery all round.
Reach Kalimpong after covering approx 75km and check into the hotel. After freshening up you have the rest of the day to yourself, take a stroll in the around in the local market for relics and handicrafts or visit any nursery.

Pine view Cactus Nursery it has a great collections of cactus and ornamental plants. You can get great view of Kalimpong town from the backside lawn, Mangal Dham it is an excellent temple complex built in the memory of late Guruji Mangal Dasji and dedicated to Lord Krishna.
Dr. Graham’s Homes School this missionary school was set up by Dr. J A Graham in 1900 as an orphanage cum school for the destitute Anglo Indian children it is located on the way to Dello Hills and you can walk across to various parts of the school, lunch on the way, Dello Hills an 8-acre lush parkland with manicured flower gardens and several view points with breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga, Hanuman Mandir perched on the hill a short hike towards this temple offers a serene and picturesque view of the Kanchenjunga peak in its full glory and on a sunny day neighboring state of Sikkim and the surrounding landscapes of lava and kafer hills is also clearly visible. After sightseeing you are free to either relax in your hotel rooms or to explore the local market for handmade merchandise and mouth watering local and Chinese cuisine.
