Day wise Itinerary

Day 1: TRANSFER TO PHUENTSHOLING

On arrival at Hasimara/NJP/Bagdogra you will be greeted by our official and then transferred to your hotel in Phuentsholing. If you are arriving at NJP/Bagdogra it is an approx 4hrs journey to Phuentsholing and if you are arriving at Hasimara it is an overall 1hr journey to reach Phuentsholing. Located in the Southern Region of Bhutan, Phuentsholing is a bustling Border Town. Check into your hotel and freshen up. After making the Inner Line Permit you are free for the rest of the evening. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.

Day 2: TRANSFER TO THIMPHU

After breakfast checkout from your hotel and start your 6-7hrs journey to your hotel in Thimphu. Thimphu is the Capital City of Bhutan. With the most scenic view of changing vegetation of lush alpine forest, Rocky Mountains and beautiful green valley your journey towards Thimphu will leave you awe-inspired. There will be many spots to stretch your leg and have your lunch while enjoying the pictorial view. Reach Thimphu after covering approx 180km and check into your hotel. After freshening up you are free for the rest of the evening. You can either relax in your hotel or take a stroll by the famous Clock Tower of Thimphu. It is an ideal place for spending a laid back evening with the magnificent view of lofty green mountains. Overnight stay at Thimphu.

Day 3: THIMPHU SIGHTSEEING

Wake up early and after breakfast start your local Sightseeing in Thimphu. The first destination in your list is the Mothitang Takin Preserve. It is a perfect place for the animal lovers who want to observe the fascinating animal Takin, the National Animal of Bhutan. After getting a closer look of this captivating being you can catch the panoramic vista Thimphu city from BBS Tower which is located at 10mins walking destination from Mothitang Preserve. The next stop of our journey is the National Textile Museum, an amazing place to learn to wear the Bhutanese dress. Then we will head towards Memorial Chorten which was built to commemorate the memory of the 3rd Dragon King Jigme Singye Wangchuk. This large Tibetan-style Chorten is one of the most visible religious structures in Thimphu. After lunch we will drive to the grandiose dzong of Tashichhoe also known as Thimphu Dzong. Listed as a tentative site the main sanctum of Thimphu Dzong is only opened during tsechu but still you can take a stroll along the river and in the well maintained gardens surrounding dzong. The last destination in your list is the Buddha View Point where the largest statue of Sakyamuni Buddha is sited. Beckon the surreal beauty and serene ambiance of Thimphu Valley from Buddha View point which is located above the ruins of Kuensal Phodrang Nature Park. Return to hotel and after freshening up you are free for the rest of the evening to relax and enjoy the beautiful evening. Overnight stay at Thimphu.

Day 4: TRANSFER TO PUNAKHA

After breakfast checkout from the hotel and start your 4-5hrs journey to your hotel in Punakha. It is the first capital of Bhutan. After covering 30km stop by at Dochula Pass just to breathe in the cool mountain air and enjoy the panoramic view of some of the most beautiful and spectacular Himalayan Mountains. It is also a great way to start your journey towards Punakha. Reach Punakha after covering approx 87 km and check into your hotel. After freshening up, you are free for the rest of the day to relax and enjoy the beautiful view of adjacent mountains. Overnight stay at Punakha.

Day 5: TRANSFER TO PARO

Breakfast at hotel and after breakfast check out from the hotel and start your 5-6hrs journey to your hotel in Paro. Paro is a historic town with many sacred sites and historical buildings. The journey towards Paro is full of the picturesque view of lush alpine forest and lofty Green Mountain. Reach Paro after covering approx 130km and check into your hotel. After freshening up, you are free for the rest of the day to relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of Paro. Paro Valley is wide and verdant and is famous for being the most beautiful town in Bhutanese Kingdom. Overnight stay at Paro.

Day 6: PARO SIGHTSEEING

After your breakfast, gear up for your Sightseeing in Paro. The first destination in your list is Taktsang Monastery, the Cliffside Monastery of Paro. It is the most prominent tourist attraction of Paro. Perched atop a hill it takes approx two hour trek to reach Taktsang Monastery. You can either choose to trek or ride on a pony to reach this Cliffside Monastery. It is famous for offering an outstanding view of Paro valley. Next we will take you to the National Museum of Bhutan. Built within the Conch shaped building of Ta Dzong, National Museum of Bhutan houses many fascinating artifacts which date back to 2nd century. After lunch we will proceed to Rinpung Dzong famously known as Paro Dzong. Listed under the tentative sites of UNESCO Paro Dzong is only opened during the auspicious festival of Tsechu although you can take a walk in the courtyard of the Dzong. Behind the white washed wall of Paro Dzong is the most sacred artifact of Bhutan the Thondrol of Guru Rinpoche. After adorning the mesmerizing sites return to your hotel. Overnight stay at Paro.

Day 7: DROP TO HASIMARA

Wake up early and after breakfast say your farewell to this mystical land of beauty. Check out from the hotel and start your 6-7hrs journey towards Hasimara/NJP/Bagdogra. The scenic view of changing vegetation and lofty mountain will accompany you throughout your journey.
